What You Can Expect at Onda’s Hot Yoga Classes
Our Hot Yoga classes at Onda aren’t just workouts; they’re experiences designed to deepen your connection with yourself. For beginners, we recommend starting with Original Hot Yoga. This class consists of 26 postures and two breathing exercises, all performed in a room heated between 36 and 38 degrees Celsius, making it ideal for building strength and flexibility.

Getting Ready for Your First Class
Preparing for class is simple but essential. Wear breathable, comfortable clothing—think shorts and a light top. You’ll also need a yoga mat and towel to manage the sweat (yes, you’ll sweat!), and it’s best to bring your own water bottle. Remember to hydrate well before class, as Agostina, one of our teachers, can attest. “Hydration isn’t just something I’ve learned—it’s become a practice. I’m always prepared, with water in hand,” she says.
A light meal three hours before class is ideal, and it’s worth noting that what you eat matters. Dana, another teacher at Onda, shares a story about how a hasty snack choice turned into a lesson learned. “I grabbed a croissant before class, thinking it’d be quick energy, but I spent the session feeling heavy and out of balance. Next time, if I really need something right before class, I’ll stick to an apple or a banana!”
Sometimes even having the right hairstyle can make a big difference - Lynn shares “For a long time, I struggled with this because I always wore my hair in a bun”. Adjusting your hairstyle so that it stays out of your face and remains comfortable during the practice, especially in inverted poses, can make your hot yoga experience much more enjoyable!
